Meet us in Pennsylvania

Meet us in Pennsylvania

For anyone in the Pennsylvania area who would like to meet us in person and see the premiere of “The Trinity Eternity Past to Eternity Future Explaining Truth Exposing Error”, we will be in the New Ringgold, PA area at the Witnesses Now For Jesus Convention at the Blue Mountain Christian Retreat  October 10-12th, 2008.  DVD #1 of the 2 DVD set will be shown at 3 pm on Saturday, October 11th.  Information on the conference can be found at http://pfo.org/wnfj2008.htm The sessions are free.  If you would like to stay for the entire conference, call the retreat centre at the link above for accommodations or see the list of motels in the area at the above link.  The convention has great testimonies and teaching sessions and lots of time for fellowship with a really wonderful group of ex-Jehovah’s Witnesses and Christian ministries.

The issue of the Trinity and how the eternal subordination of the Son has crept into the church since the 1970’s will be a hot topic at the convention and if you are also interested in this issue, please feel free to come by and introduce yourself to us.  We will be hosting a book table at the conference and will make ourselves available for discussion and questions before and after the sessions.

  1. Hey Don,

It would be great to meet you!  I didn’t realize that you were only a matter of hours away.

If anyone else is thinking of going and would like to share a room with Don, let me know and I can get you in contact with Don.

  2. It would be great to meet you and your compatriots also.

I had no idea what a room at the site cost.  I was willing to pay a certain amount, but one room was $55 and the other was $65.

Since that was over my budget I thought of seeing about sharing a room.

  3. Alas our compatriots will not be able to come this year.  A family reunion and 50th wedding anniversary celebration conflicted with them coming with us.  We will be doing the presenting alone this year.

I know one fellow who comes alone and he may be willing to share a room.  I will email him and see if he is willing.

  4. Cheryl,

I grew up in Allentown, just about an hour south of the Blue Mountain.  I’ve spent many nights there for all sorts of gatherings, most of them Pentecostal gatherings that were standing room only.  And you’re going at my favorite time of year.  Go to Leiby’s and eat some ice cream for me and give Don Veinot a hug for me and tell him I love him (tear in my eye).  I have not been there for many years, but I loved to go and hear “Brother Chris,” a sweet man from Holland who was the adorable man who operated the place.  It is such a wonderful place, all set apart away from the world.

Don Veinot told me that a Jehovah’s Witness showed up there last year and left a believer.  I pray they come back and bring everyone they can entice to come.  May many, many more leave as believers this year.  I’m so excited for you and wish that I could be there.

  5. Cindy,

Well, it is a small world isn’t it?  We will definitely go to Leiby’s and have some ice cream.  And Don Veinot gives the biggest bear hugs.  He really helped me through some hard times when I lost friends that were precious to me, all because they could not have fellowship with one who believed that women can teach the bible verse by verse to men.

And also I met the man who gave his life to Jesus last year.  He sat right beside me on the last night.  I expect to see him back again this year.  A special ex-JW elder and his dear wife won’t be able to make it this year as he injured his back.  They will be greatly missed.  It is so nice to meet old friends and new ones and the fellowship is awesome.  It is truly a yearly highlight in our lives as long as we can afford to go.

This year the conference is a week early so we should catch the leaves turning (I hope) before they blow off.  It is so nice to walk in the country setting and enjoy the peaceful setting.
